Who is Jabez Shepherd

Art has been a central part of Jabez Shepherd’s life since early childhood. From the moment he could hold a pencil or paintbrush, it was clear that creativity came naturally. As a third-generation artist, Jabez grew up immersed in art—his sketchbooks were constant companions, filled with vivid drawings and imaginative worlds. He even crafted his own toys from paper, sculpting figures by hand and building stories around them. Ask his mother, and she’d tell you his creativity only grew stronger with time.

For Jabez, art has always been more than a hobby—it’s a refuge, a source of joy, and an expression of freedom. In high school, he began to pursue it with deeper intention, realizing that art was not just something he loved—it was his calling. Alongside a passion for creating, he developed a love for technique and craftsmanship, which helped shape his now-signature style: vibrant, emotionally rich, and rooted in realism.

Jabez is currently studying at Towson University, pursuing a degree in Art Education. He focuses primarily on portraiture, drawn to the way a face can convey what words often cannot. As an introspective and conceptual artist, his work frequently explores identity, experience, and the nuances of being human in today’s world.
